Getting Married in Italy

For a long time Italy has been the “go-to” place for Irish couples to get married abroad. While Rome was the traditional wedding destination, there’s so much more to Italy, with a beautiful range of locations beyond the Vatican City. It’s impossible to compare the different locations as they vary so much. From the rustic settings of the South of Italy, to the beaches of the Amalfi Coast, the cities of Rome and Venice and further north towards the mountains and the Lakes. Add to this the great food and the great weather, getting married in Italy can be a dream come true for every couple. Also, the ease of access from Ireland makes it possible for your family and friends to join you to celebrate your special day.

Rome

Rome one of the world’s most photogenic cities.  Historical architecture dates back nearly 3000 years, offering stunning sightseeing options for visitors. The Colosseum, The Forum, Trevi fountain and St Peters Basilica to name afew of the amazing sites.

Vibrant streets lined with restaurants, trattorias, cafes, gelato shops and bars, you will find a hive of activity on every corner you turn.

Rome is a very romantic city and a popular choice for wedding couples.  We organise weddings in St Patrick’s Church, a beautiful church to celebrate your special ceremony.  After the ceremony we can offer a wide choice of hotel reception options or traditional family run restaurants.

Malcesine

Malcesine is a small town on the eastern shore of Lake Garda in Northern Italy. It is a picturesque tourist resort with cobbled lanes and a castle, crammed between the blue lake waters and the massive mountain ridge behind, Monte Baldo. In Summer months the town is a hive of activity with endless choices of restaurants, shops, cafes and bars.
We can organise civil ceremonies to take place in the famous Scaglieri castle which is perched on a cliff overhanging the lake. The castle is believed to have been built in 568 ad. There is a short uphill walk to the castle through a maze of narrow, winding streets leading down to the water’s edge. There are two ceremony rooms inside the castle and an outside terrace. All options have breath taking views all around the lake. The ceremony is performed in Italian with a translator. We suggest a violin and keyboard or a string quartet during the ceremony.
After the ceremony why not have a boat excursion with a champagne toast on board or a champagne toast by the lakeside. We offer a selection of restaurants to celebrate your wedding reception. This is a beautiful location for wedding pictures with stunning views all around.

Amalfi Coast

Positano is one of the Mediterranean’s most exclusive resorts and located on one of the prettiest corners of the Amalfi Coast. Clinging to a cliff side which plunges into the glistening sea, the resort overlooks luxury yachts and coloured fishing boats which adorn the crystal waters. We can organise church ceremonies to take place in main cathedral which is overlooking Positano’s stunning beach. This magnificent church is a very special place for couples to celebrate their ceremony. We also can offer civil ceremonies to take place in the wonderful Positano town hall with a beautiful outside terrace up high on a Cliffside.
Sorrento a bustling resort, packed with cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. There is fantastic access to an exciting range of excursions, visit nearby Pompeii or Naples city or take a boat trip to the romantic islands of Capri and Ishcia. Civil ceremonies can take place just outside the main town of Sorrento in a beautiful Cliffside town hall surrounded by lush gardens.
We offer a large selection of hotels and restaurants to celebrate your wedding reception.
